03. We are in Budapest

Hello once again fromEastern Europe. We have been in Budapest for about 5 hours, but have spent most of them being accosted from the train station to the hostel (we were recommended it whilst on the train, by a fat man named Sam according to the commission slip) and sleeping.

Vienna was nice, but about as expensive as UK which was not good for us as we like to spend as little as possible. Last night we found a bar/cafe thing which was giving away free beer and coke, but we left after the 90 minutes were up after we "crossed the line" by telling a rowdy American that he should have a cut off point with regards to drinking. He then called us unrepeatable names and claimed that the conversation "was over". There was some kind of World festival going on at the main square which was quite cool as we could eat cheese filled sausage, and other continental delights.

Our plan for Budapest is to go to lots of museums and possibly some turkish baths. The currency here is bizzare, 400 somethings to the pound. The hostel we are staying is alright, but the shower is awful. We are sharing a room with 4 girls, and a boy+old woman combo. So far we have seen the boy reading Lord of the Flies in German, and then going ot to get dressed up with his mom. More on that as the story develops. The only thing we have had to eat in Budapest so far is a kind of kebab thing. It was interesting.

Hope everyone reading is not experiencing bad weather, as its very hot and nice in Budapest.
